The KSU Department of Strategic Management, under the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), provides project support services for strategic initiatives. This includes projects assigned by the system office, as well as those within the academic, administrative, enrollment, financial and student affairs units of KSU.

These projects are directly linked to the strategic direction of the University include University-level projects that span multiple units within the organization. The office also offers process improvement services in support of improving efficiencies throughout the University. Finally, the unit supports SACSCOC standards 7.1 (institutional planning) and 7.3 (administrative effectiveness).


The mission of the Department of Strategic Management is to deliver value for the University by assisting in project selection and prioritization, leading projects aligned with the strategic plan and facilitating the effective use of project resources.
